"I used to buy Redcon1 MRE bars all of the time so I was super excited that these were on sale. I did not realize that they changed the formula in the texture of these bars. There was a rice crunch to the topping that was delicious prior and the taste was just amazing for a protein bar. They were literally top of the line. Currently, they are extremely chewy almost to the point of being comical how much you have to chew and the taste is absolutely disgusting. There is barely any edible taste in these. I don’t know if they are going out of business and decided to make things cheaper, but you can absolutely tell that these cheap bars are not worth it at all. I would get a gas station protein bar over this."

"They ruined these bars with the change to the formula. Taste and texture are terrible. Cookie dough flavor is like chewing on caramel with brown sugar all over it. Doesn't taste anything like the old formula which actually did taste like cookie dough. German chocolate cake tastes nothing like a German chocolate cake. It's the same caramel-like texture with some artificial coconut flavor mixed in. To call these MRE bars is a scam to anyone that has tried the originals."

"This USE to be my favourite protein bar, tasted great, had good Marcos and was clean. Now it’s some poor quality slug bar that i couldn’t stomach down if you paid me, really disappointed since it’s hard to find a decent protein bar"

"Received my order in its entirety, but when it arrived, the single bar, as well as several in the box, appeared to have melted, then cooled several times over. My single bar just crumbled when i tried to eat it. When i would purchase from my local GNC, i never encountered any like this. I reached out to customer service the following day on this issue. The response: crickets. I still have yet to hear back from them. I hate to day this but i will probably start looking at other brands/options."

"I have been buying these protein bars for years. They were the best taste and texture bars I could find. Loved that bar was whole food based with multiple protein sources. These bars were soft and would break off with each bite. New formula is absolutely terrible. Typical protein powder mixed with glycerin to create a chewy paste formed into a bar, then disguised with the same candy bar-like coating on the outside. Won't be buying again. Very disappointed."
